fantasticmuse1. Do you enjoy the cold weather and snow for the holidays?
Yes, precious. I absolutely love snow. And ice.
2. What is your ideal holiday celebration? How, where, with whom would you celebrate to make things perfect?
Ideally, I would like to celebrate with my whole family- all our exchange students, my closest friends, my uncle Dean who's still in Iraq...or Afghanistan, we're not really sure. All of them at my Gran's house. It would be chaos and I would love every minute of it.
3. Do you do have any holiday traditions?
Too many to mention. But I suppose I can try. First and foremost, there is food. SO much food. Traditionally, we have ham or meatballs, but there's also Krumkakke, Kransekakke, Lefse, Lutefisk, Kringlar, Rosettes, and... I am so hungry right now.
Christmas Eve is with immediate family and sometimes Gran, we go to the midnight candlelight service at church and it's always lovely. Christmas Day is with Gran and Boppa- and Christmas on my mom's side is whenever we get have time to get together.
4. Do you do anything to help the needy?
Money donations to the Salvation Army Ringers, and I always do that thing where a needy child's name is on an ornament along with what they want as a gift- they you go and buy what they ask for.
Not as much as I should, but I feel good for having done it.
5. What one gift would you like for yourself?
Hmmm. I guess what I would really like is the beautiful set of rune stones I saw in Bergen. They were so lovely.
