I got a couple of wisdom teeth taken out and there are legit shards of bones coming up out of my gums.

Well, because you had wisdom teeth out. The teeth were probably partially rotten inside so they broke while they were being yanked out (or cut out - I don't know which they ended up doing). Same thing happened to me. I think I had two yanked and two cut out, the latter precisely because they were so rotten they'd break if somebody tried to get a good enough fix on them to yank.
