See, the Mississippi river begins just a couple of hours north of me, just as a tiny trickle that's ankle deep and five steps wide. And, of course, it ends in New Orleans-- wider and stronger than you can imagine. I've always felt connected to the city by that. It's strange, but I feel like my sister is getting beat up and there's nothing I can do about it.
Plus, New Orleans is the single most amazing city we have. And they've pretty much signed the death warrant. It sucks.
