*hee* and then I saw your post linked to by someone on my friendslist who hadn't seen my post and it made me giggle greatly. It's just such a great pic, it needs to be shared.
I'm afraid I don't know the context, except that it came out of a probably late-90's issue of French Vogue. I had a roommate once who was French African, and while visiting her grandmother over Christmas one year she went through a bunch of old issues of French Vogue in the basement and cut out the pictures she thought I'd like and brought them back to me. So, I don't even know the exact issue or article or anything like that, I'm afraid.
