We got going around 4 on Monday, making good time. I got to Moorhead at about 6 and decided I should stop and fill up the tank. Getting out of the car at the gas station, I realized that I had left my debit card at home. Damn.
So Trish said she'd pay for the gas, since I only had about six dollars in cash. We get everything paid for and get back in the car... which won't start.
Luckily we were at a gas station/auto repair shop. The mechanic was off the clock, but he agreed to help us. At first it looked like it was just the battery. They even had the right battery right at the shop. But after he ran a few tests, he discovered that it was the starter and the battery.
Long story short, it's gonna be 400 dollars worth of fun for us. Stinky, stinky cars.
But, all in all it was a fabulous weekend, so I can't be too angry.
