May. 16th, 2004 06:31 pmHi kids.
Have been sick, on and off for the past couple of days.
I've seen Troy twice now- once for free. I do enjoy it. Not the greatest movie, but there were a few good moments and enough manflesh to keep me happy for a while.
It's raining outside now. I have the porch door open so I can hear it. And I'm watching the craptacular animated version of The Hobbit.
Tomorrow I start work at the post office. I have to go in at 8 tomorrow morning, but after that my hours will be from around 5pm to around 1am. I think I'm going to enjoy it.
( Tomorrow is also Syttende Mai, a Norwegian holiday. It's a big thing around here. My Grandma usually makes the traditional wedding cake- the kransekakke- but now my mum's taken over the duty these past couple of years because it's hard on Grandma's hands. I'm to learn how sometime in the next few years. Here's a picture of the one that's on our counter right now. )
ETA: Oh, dear God, the spiders of Mirkwood are the very height of just-too-muchery. *mad giggles*
