Mar. 7th, 2007 02:46 pmToday a tiny child spoke to me in Russian.
I was registering wee children for preschool screening, filling out their forms and giving them nametags and checking their height and weight and whatnot.
She came up to my table and I asked her her name. She didn't say anything and her mother sighed and repeated what I said in Russian. The girl smiled at me and said "Maria." Then she rattled off something, I had no idea what, but I gather she was excited about her nametag.
Oh, tiny children, so cute. When they spoke in Spanish it wasn't as fun because I could understand them.
