I...dk. From what I've seen, he was going to get the book thrown at him (which may or may not be unfair, I'm not arguing that right now) so he ran away rather than trying to appeal through the due process of law.
It's that more than any other thing that gets me right now. Yes, he raped a girl. A thirteen year old. That's pretty much enough for me to want to light fire to him. But for people to know that he admitted that, ran like a coward, then laughed about the whole thing, and still support him is too much for me to take.
There are some gray moral areas in the world. Fleeing the country because you raped a girl, admitted it, then got butthurt when people weren't treating you fairly is not one of them.
