And this banding together of Hollywood peeps to protect their special privileges? Also a scary precedent. I wish I could say I was surprised about Tilda Swinton, but it's only to be expected; she's a nob as well as a celeb - talk about a history of privilege!

Date: 2009-10-01 01:22 am (UTC)It's that more than any other thing that gets me right now. Yes, he raped a girl. A thirteen year old. That's pretty much enough for me to want to light fire to him. But for people to know that he admitted that, ran like a coward, then laughed about the whole thing, and still support him is too much for me to take.
There are some gray moral areas in the world. Fleeing the country because you raped a girl, admitted it, then got butthurt when people weren't treating you fairly is not one of them.
(Tilda just makes me sad. I'm trying not to think about it too hard.)
