An Annoucement

Three hours, people.

I can hardly believe it. I just...

It's going to be wonderful. Amazing. Indescribable.

No matter how the movie is, that's what the experience is going to be.

Over the past few weeks I've been a little concerned. People seemed upset; both with the spoilers and with the movie in general. I started to get upset as well... but then I started thinking. First I thought- hey, it's a movie. Not the end of the world if it's not that great. So that calmed me down enough to really realize what I needed to be feeling.

Faith.


I have faith that this movie will be wonderful, amazing, indescribable. Nothing in this fandom has let me down yet.

But it's more than that, it's the adventure of the experience. I have met so many wonderful people in this fandom. This movie is a celebration of them.

I have heard so many brilliant ideas in this fandom. This movie is a celebration of those ideas.

I have read so many amazing pieces of writing in this fandom. This movie is a celebration of all I have read.

And above all, it is a celebration of the novels, the stories that intrigued us and brought us all together in one place to talk and laugh and argue and discuss heatedly and squee hugely and cry brokenly on a new friend's shoulder.

There's joy in this experience. This movie will be a celebration of that.



Okay, that's enough rambling. It may just be the stress of finals and lack of sleep talking, but it felt good to get it out.

Trust me, mon amie, while even I, lover of all that is Lord of the Rings, has little smidgies that I don't like, this movie is by far the best movie I have ever seen...ever. You will love it. Enjoy hun! ...Something you may find interesting, Braaten went "on the record" today saying, "The Return of the King is the best movie...ever. The Lord of the Rings movies are better than the Star Wars movies, by far." yeah, Braaten said that. : D
